Connected Kansas Kids -- Where kids with special health needs come to find care and community.

Inservices for Educators

We understand that there may be many questions and concerns when a student with a serious health condition or special need comes to school. Educators wonder about how to keep the student safe at school; the impact of a serious illness, especially if it is anticipated to get worse, on other students; protecting the student's privacy; keeping her up academically; maintaining appropriate paper work; and much, much more.

Each presentation is approximately 60 minutes in duration, including time for questions and answers. Specific presentations/conferences can be arranged for case-specific needs or to plan for individual students with special health needs. Presentations are provided by interative televideo (ITV) or interactive distance learning (IDL), and are free-of-charge to participating districts. If you do not have ITV or IDL equipment in your school, check with your high school, library or community hospital! CEUs are available to school nurses, psychologists, social workers and others.
